Tom is now CEO and Director of Set Jet, LLC (www.setjet.com), a Membership based private jet charter program, available exclusively for its security pre-screened and approved Members. In 1993, Tom co-founded TASER International (now Axon Enterprise, Inc, NASDAQ: AXON), and served as President of TASER until October 2006. Mr. Smith is credited with founding a startup company of seven employees in 1993 to one with more than over 2,000 employees that manufacturers and innovates technology used by more than 17,200 international, federal, state and local law enforcement agencies and the U.S. military. Tom served as Chairman of the Board of Directors of TASER from October 2006 to 2013.

Tom was CEO, President and Director of Wrap Technologies, Inc (NASDAQ: WRAP). He was responsible for scaling domestic and international sales of the Company’s BolaWrap products to law enforcement and security agencies worldwide.  With over 25 years of experience launching innovative technology solutions in the law enforcement space. Under Tom’s leadership, Wrap Technologies experienced rapid expansion of its international and domestic presence and improving market position as more agencies across the United States continue to adopt the BolaWrap.

Tom began with his career at Jostens Learning Corporation and Andersen Consulting in Phoenix. He then co-founded TASER with his brother Rick in 1993.  Tom holds a B.S. degree in ecology and evolutionary biology from the University of Arizona and a M.B.A. degree from Northern Arizona University.  

Tom is an avid aviation fan and has over 10,000 hours of flying time and is certified in multi‐engine aircraft as an airline transport pilot.
